The Live Butterfly Garden kit includes a garden habitat, a certificate for five live caterpillars, and an instruction guide.

To get your caterpillars, you will need to fill out the sertivicate and mail it to Insect Lore. When they receive it, they will ship to you a small box that contains five live caterpillars in a sterile environment, complete with their required food and air holes for breathing.

The (latest) design habitat from insect lore is a cylindrical, netted environment exquisitely constructed. It comes folded in the box and when removed, it springs open (from the coil construction, like a slinky) and pops up into a netted cage. There is a clear vinyl top and a floral patterned vinyl bottom and it is fully encircled with a sturdy netting. There is also a handle on the top for easy transporting. At the top of this environment you can find a zip, that you can open to release the butterflies when they are ready.
